speaking of game of thrones, if you read the books they are pretty vulgar at times.

i agree that it seems a bit unnecessary, but the boobage isnt really going beyond the books at all. lots of boobs and incest in the books. apparently george r r martin is just a dirty man.

I was actually arguing this point with a friend the other day , mainly becuase when i slipped it in to what i thought of the show he picked me up on it, and then again in his stoned world there was only 1 sex scene in the entire series ...

but i was saying i liked this show and HBO seem to produce good shit

it was a bit weird cuase i knew absolutely nothing about it and didn't even realise that it ended the first series at episode 10 and i was talking about the next episode to find out i had to wait for a new series. I watched it cause i liked sean bean in the TV series Sharpe and i'd heard it was filmed here and places i've been apparently. Thats a bit weird and detracts from a show a bit as you are looking at the scenery trying to figure it out sometimes ><

i'm digging game of thrones, except for the fact that i got a copyright infringement notice from verizon because i must've downloaded a tagged copy of the latest episode. fuck the riaa, mpaa and every other goddamn association. i actually pay for a subscription to hbo, so i fail to see how downloading an episode of a show i pay to see is copyright infringement.

anyway, ranting aside, game of thrones is pretty sweet. i was pleasantly surprised considering how often i'm let down by page-to-screen transitions.

d/ld + watched all 10 episodes in last 2 days. i like it! havent had a series to watch religiously in years. wish i had waited a little longer tho, i hate when i have to wait a week for a next episode to come out. when i like a series i just want to watch it episode after episode, going into some sort of trance, which makes watching the series only better.

man I don't know how popular or hyped it is, how do I find out how popular TV shows are? Does the TV tell me, or do I hear people talking about it in conversations on the subway? Anywho, I read these books so when I heard it was being made by HBO I was like oh hell yeah because HBO makes really good shows and Starz makes horrible ones. Take Spartacus, I was looking forward to that one and I started watching it and saw all the boobs and kind of rolled by eyes but the ridiculous amounts of CGI blood on the screen made it impossible to immerse myself in the show--it just wasn't realistic at all. The fact that Paul O. enjoys that show and is older than me allows me to understand how he could see building 7 fall and think it was anything but controlled demolition, he'll believe anything. Game of thrones has some unnecessary boobies as well, but the book was so awesome and they did a great job of not fucking it up by adding anything. Tyrion Lannister the imp is one of the best characters to be created ever. I actually liked having to wait every week, because now I have to wait 'til Spring 2012, what the fuck. I disagree with your trance theory, I have done it before, and after the third episode in a row, especially if they are 1 hour, you mind starts to skip synapse connections and becomes bored. Essentially, you will not remember the 3rd or 4th episodes as well as the 1st and you will not enjoy them as much.
