I don't think this douchebag really deserves any preferential treatment from the forum staff in this zone. In case anyone missed out on what happened Polix (who should really fucking know better) basically decided to point out multiple ways to cheat in game in a recent post that was edited by Witness. I have personally been banned for posting a log that linked to a certain cheating program in it even if it was accidental. I know several other people have been banned for this as well. What makes this guy any different? I realize he is high up in SSC but lets be honest SSC needs TW more than TW needs SSC, and I am sure that some of you know that SSC has sorta been well dicks to our zones leadership for awhile now in some sort of two dimension coup de tat. Either way, I believe a year forum ban is in order. Chop Chop.

I think its fairly obvious from witness's bolded part of the rules what rule was actually broken there.

okay, first of all he didnt explain how to cheat nor detail any specific weaknesses of the tw chat client. all polix said was that if there are issues like what chatnut recieved (chatnut is a fucking java chatclient for subspace which was made by DrBrain a while back. tw's beta chat client is very similar) that tw would be having some trouble dealing with possible exploits.

he never linked to any cheat client. it was just a stupid move on witness's part.

as for the comment about the ports: you can literally right click tw on the zone list to see its ip and port. not exactly a blaringly pandemonium information release.

tw and ssc have been going at it for quite some time now, and it's gotten pretty bitter and nasty. i don't think we (forum staff) have any business getting into this messy matter.

in other words: i'm not touching that political bitchfest with a ten foot pole.

as long as polix doesn't break any explicit forum rules, he's welcome to post here. his recent discussion of exploits was not an outright (or overt) attempt to teach others how to cheat, nor do i believe there was any malicious intent on his part. he's just dredging up old beef with tw upper staff, and the new chat app happens to be his way of going about it. i'm not going to ban him for that.

He was explaining exploits of a new feature in TW to the point where people who have knowledge of the game would be able to understand what he was saying and abuse it, he also posted directly what it was on the ssg forums which you frequent quite often Xog which means you are biased in your opinion.
