Glad everyone remembered the Hasta! guy, but damn is this community pessimistic. I know you don't like to get your hopes up to have them dashed, or be disappointed and such, but maybe if you threw a little support behind some of the contributors - or those trying to - to your community you could get nice things. I know that's a long shot for some, but that's how real life works too! Most likely this guy 'lost interest' because you guys were being negative and he doesn't owe you anything... just trying to do something cool and competitive. God knows we turn on our A game when money of any sort is involved.
