If I get the chance, I think I'm going to mention my staff involvement with Trench Wars titling myself as "Director of Staff Training" or "Volunteer Staff Member of a Worldwide multiplayer computer game" describing my duties as "helping to maintain and improve game play for all the players". Anyone think this is a bad idea? I'm going to mention this as one of my 'hobbies' alongside my other hobbies of course such as playing guitar, bicycling, cars, and recently some small building projects. I'm hoping mentioning the other hobbies will muffle the nerdiness of mentioning this game.

As long as you can skew it to benefit you for a job application it probably doesn't hurt. It's not exactly major experience but it can show that you know how to train people, deal with people, etc. if the particular position has those requirements.
Remember -- a Job Application and subsequent Job Interview are one of the few times you have in life to just talk up yourself without shame. You don't want to outright LIE about anything, but minor embellishment of some life experience is definitely acceptable as long as you can make it apply to the particular position you are shooting for.Fuck it.

it would be a good idea if you are a person who has been telling other staffers on this game what to do or making bots because other than that other staff members are useless if they dont have someone with a remote control coord up their a$$ telling them what to do

but all that aside, the job interview went well and the dude never even asked about my hobbies. Go figure. On the other hand, they gave me an immediate drug test (piss test). I'm kinda nervous about it cause about 1 1/2 weeks ago (11 days) I smoked some bud- just a couple of hits out of a piece. Before that, I haven't smoked bud for years. What do you guys think are my chances?
