Staffers being lazy and taking up space is nothing new. I first became a <ZH> around 04 or 05, I don't remember, but it was the same story then as it is now and I suspect laziness was the same before that. After I ran TWD for a year I left of my own volition, that's the responsible thing for people to do when you don't have the time or drive to contribute.

As for your story PH, sorry to hear about that, I know I wasn't staff when that happened, I don't even recognize most staffers these days, including Smods. I know you did an excellent job with TWL and hopefully you don't take it personal, staff in this game has its ups and downs. It's the same story in the real world, I'm sure you know this.

I'm a player who has migrated from SVS and i must say that I love this zone <---no sarcasm. TW should stand for "Troll Warfare" because this place is pure comedy when it comes to that!

I could gauge a new arsehole in this thread and name and shame some staffers but I'd rather not get axed for incompetence. I'm just going to confirm there are a lot of staffers who are taking up spots who actually DON'T do shit and are excused for god knows what reason, I'm going to back this up by a situation I came across last weekend when I logged on around 5pm EST, at 5.05pm EST I received a call from a player saying "Wheres the weekend event?", I looked it up and there it was.. WW3 was meant to be hosted at 5pm and no one was jumping at the chance to host it, I immediately stepped up and hosted it even though I had just got in from a night out.

As for LF saying there are only two productive staffers left, it is a load of bullshit.

I was assistant banG/banC operator, twl op, twel op, staff trainer, and smod. You're barking up the wrong tree if you want to call someone lazy. Now that I'm not staff I can tell all of you to eat shit and fuck off without any chance of repercussions. let me try to explain what happened in as unbiased a fashion as possible.

it's pretty widely known that i was a seasonal staffer, generally added during twl and removed afterward. this worked out pretty well for both sides over the course of four seasons.

things boiled over a few months after this last twl (after which my powers were not removed, but i never used them), when i noticed someone sitting in spec with a name that anyone who has been on the internet for more than an hour should be able to decipher as "A NIGGER LOL". i didn't think much of it, sent a call, figured it would be taken care of.

came back a few hours later and the guy was still there. sent another call, no response, so i joined staff chat and, of course, people were talking, but no one was dealing with the call. i got on upper staff chat to get the matter addressed.

big mistake. rather than listening to a single word i had to say, a certain quite high-ranking staffer plainly dismissed my claim and said that the player's name was not racist because it was "abstract", and chastised me for "wanting to ban a player, no wonder people don't play if we just ban them all like that". i clarified that i never asked for a full-blown ban, as a nameban would clear this up. the staffer responded with "nameban = ban". um... what? really?

anyway, i asked this staffer to alias check the player. turns out the guy had a huge rap sheet of warnings/bans for a variety of offenses. he was on something like his tenth overall teamkilling ban, in addition to several racism bans. i then posed another question to this staffer: "still think this guy is innocent and just trying to play the game?" i should have expected the response that i got: "yes "

When I'm not hosting/programming (lol?) I'm usually faking afk in the arena #154, pretending to be afk and only "waking up" when theres 1 min left and my squad doesnt want to forfeit bd. If you want something hosted, feel free to pm me in game, may just grant your request if its not gatez2 (again, sigh), or if we would get enough of a crowd for it. And wazaaa, get on during american hours and there will be events, there always are, even if its gatez2 again

Magi I'm pretty sure PHs thing was before you made smod, actually I'm positive because I know exactly who he's talking about (The smilie face gives it away). In fact I too was removed for not agreeing with another "upper" staffer, despite keeping the disagreement between the 2 of us on upper chat. I hosted more than any other staffer in 2011 on top of being ECT SMod, ran training solo for a while, then co-head with Magi Koz, took the most calls for the year, twl op, etc. Proof being that they had to promote 3 people to replace just me all because I disagree'd with Dezmond. A lot of staffers are lucky I never got considered for a Dean job, because an awful lot of dead weight would have been cut. I will say that for the most part M_M God knows what he's doing, and he's the absolute best guy to run this zone, but he's far too partial to morons who don't belong (Dezmond/HMS/useless ERs)

Back on Topic: Its a vicious cycle, nobody wants to host cuz only the same 4-10 people show up most of the time, and people flood ?help with "Host bug" or "host gatez" 500 times a day and wonder why they never get hosted.
