I agree with Cres, why the hell are we talking about making a new ship for basing when we have so many other things to do? Sure, not everyone is a world class coder, but a couple of things, I'd imagine something like this would need coding? Don't we already lack coders? Why the hell would we give people who are capable in coding ANOTHER job?
For the past 4-6 months, I've pushed, and tried to help with a good elim ranking system (made a document with a bunch of factors, tried to help our current coders with contact to other coders in other zones, such as Chaos Zone), along with an individual-based TWD ranking system, where one is able to see who's best at TWD each month or two, and again, offered a document with a list of factors for each league and each ship. Shockingly enough (sarcasm implied), not ONE of these ideas have been done. Look I understand there's a lot for coders to do, but I feel like all they do is complain about how much they need to do, and as a result do nothing. If it really is this bad, then how about you use the $ you're using on the supposed new site that was supposed to launch 3 years ago/the money events you're doing on a weekly basis on fixing the current TWL site, along with hiring some decent coders? It shouldn't cost that much.
Another thing I presented was a 2v2 league structured like TWL with rosters and all that after TWL playoffs are over, and hell, even offered to run it, offering as much input as I possibly could, over the past 3 months. All I got was sorry excuses like "there's no website, thus no league", and when I suggested that it could be all bot based (which is simple coding), staffers got scared because they realized it'd be something that'd take one or two years to implement. I mean come on, seriously? What the hell is that? I respect LF for actually trying to give a damn and his weak, but valid attempt on advertising, but otherwise, nobody's doing a thing. Demo you're doing a good job with public relations, and you know how much I respect you and the job you've done, but it's time for more action, less talk. There's plenty for you to do other than 'coding', and frankly, if there isn't, then go and help out 24/diakka with their crap, because that should be priority number one right now. It's been said many times, but quite honestly, not many staffers do much.
Tl;dr: staff get your crap together, be on the same page for once. Players: sorry but don't take too much initiative because frankly your ideas, no matter how good/realistic on paper, simply will not be implemented unless you are a capable coder yourself.

I just had the opportunity to test out the new weasel in ?go base2 in a basing match.
It fires red bullets(optional 3 shot multifire just like a weasel in pub) at the same speed as weasel in pub, it has 2 reps, 1 rocket, and 1100 energy.
Overall thoughts: The ship is awful and would be useless in basing.
The ship has no mines, and the bullets are too slow to kill anyone that you're not on top of. So you get almost no kills at all with the weasel. It also only had 2 reps, making it less than ideal for defending base or pushing in.
The only thing I found a use for was the ability to rocket in while repping and grab the flag.
Basically, you'd be much better off with a second shark than a weasel, because sharks at least can kill the enemy with their mines and keep them from coming in with more reps.
So all in all, it's underpowered. It needs either faster bullets or maybe even level 2 bullets. It also needs a bit more energy. But that's basically it, it can't kill hardly anything in its current state.

make a ship that has only one burst that shoots in a circular path (basically 10 or so burst at once) but it cannot do anything else and has to die like a shark to get more burst. Also only give burst 3 secs max to stay bouncing or it will be overused
or give a small weasel reps and nothing else and use it as a substitute for shark. Make it weaker but keep its cloak. Also it CANT shoot or mine
--warning crazy idea alert--

Make a terrier that can propel players that attach onto him in a chosen direction, so I can throw trasher into enemies all day.
