Suggestions for TW pub improvements

1. Make the safety timer 10 seconds.
2. Weaken the levbomb.
3. Limit the amount of levis to 2/freq or something.
4. Don't allow privfreq levis.
5. Make "24/7 spawning with fighter ships for rec" a bannable offence to get the fuckers inside base.
5. Keep the teams even with a bot.
6. Have the bot give rewards to best flaggers or announce them somehow. That should get some competition going on.
7. Make the bot automaticly shipchange javs to spiders if they teamkill too much.

EDIT: It would be nice if flaghopping was prevented from the team not holding flag to the team holding flag and people would still be allowed to hop from the flag holding team to the losing team.

like maybe I wana have a tea and look outside the window to rest my eyes.

2> Maybe weaken lev bomb, but give them back 2 repels and keep the rest... have rockets too. Levys suck bigtime in openspace even when they have escort.

I did a pschological trick today.. I deliberately let my ship sit in spawn area... had a macro ready.... some sucker spawner kills me...then I do this...

"I was just spawned by ................"
"Why do you spawn? Do you think it will increase your win/loss ratio so you look elite?"
"SUCKER!!!"

-The problem you have in pubs, is some WBs wana practice dueling in there and do it near spawn area or near base entrance.. so hardcore bases assume you are a spawner, because you a WB flying around in open space.

In pub arenas, most people wana base, but then you have WB duelers who carve a niche inside public arenas. They should goto elim or something, but maybe feel more comfortable in pubs before they frequent elim.

#9> Make the pub map larger... add more base structure, but keep concept intact (1 flag). I might attempt a pub arena like map edit myself and see what I can come up with. I have many ideas to make things more interesting. I want a more complex map, with many possible strategic opportunities.
The pub map now is simple and sweet; but it does get a little boring after awhile. Easter map was so fun.....

#10> Is there a way for a bot to raise bounty on a particular player? If so, say the bot figures out that a player is constantly spawning or hunting same person; have it raise their bounty to attract others to kill that player. But then it could be used for cheating..... Instead of banning a spawner, punish them some way.... maybe give them negative points???

But what if I go spectator mode and I can't go back to my favorite freq team? And it says... you can't join this freq because it would make the teams too uneven. Now that sucks bigtime, because maybe I wana play with certain peoples..heh..

If you knew much of anything you'd at least know that if you're trying to get on freq 0, and you're stuck on 1, and changing would make teams "too uneven", type =2, then =0, and viola. If the team isn't full, there you are.

Even if the usage was more like 1k, we would have levis who understood the essence of trenchwars and who would use the levi properly for the good of all basers. Hrm, however... would the levterrs then be sooo skilled that the basers could NEVER catch them??

You missed my point. What I'm trying to say is that it's that tw pubs have the most new players in the whole game. It's the new players who need guidance or they will just end up spawning and playing lev only. The population in ?go base probably more experienced than the average pub users. Also in ?go base the enviroment is limited to selected few players only.

Do you think SuperDupa222Terminator73 is going to get to play ever in ?go base? How could that kind of people ever get introduced to the real purpose of the main arenas in TW if the gameplay in pub stays as it is? The new weasel is a nice addition because it's fun to go through the little holes. That helps the newest players to notice the base.

A bot could have alternative ways to promote using a non-tking ship. And keeping someone out of jav is easy - just have the bot change the tker back to automaticly after he changes to jav.
