well apparently lefty was on pms that day, strolls in about 20 mins late, spawns bot and types !start, then goes afk for 40 minutes.
people got pissed that someone who refuses to let other people start or run the event, which ran daily for years twice a day every day on time 14 times a week, cant even start it on time 2 times a week.
what made it worse was that lefty then declared that being a staffer is just a title and not a responsiblity and didnt have to do shit because he wasnt getting paid.

On top of this, Left actually had an important phone call come in that had to be taken

Is distension going to be hosted this week? Every time I login to Trench Wars, it still tells me the distension schedule, but the game is not being hosted. Why do you tease me with this schedule?!

Nah.. pub money is ruined by inflation kicking in. And the ridiculous donation for pub bux thing made pub into a blizzard game style of paying your way to the top of the food chain. Nerfing some of the big items helped.. a little bit, but not that great. Also distension isn't back, its gone (Again)

schedule is also still at the top of the news file, yet it isn't being hosted. Can i get some clarification on this from staff? If you aren't going to host it, why does the schedule remain up?

Recent changes:

• RP needed for rank 50+ and rank 70+ now substantially reduced [may result in increased ranks for rank 50+ on logging in next time]
• Armies no longer being randomized - Dist Ops now in charge of team balancing. Expect to be moved around a little, especially if you are a valued Terr or Shark -- at least until things are generally more even
• Increased time between individual prizes. Sorry guys, slower rearm. But less crashing
• Stalemate RP increased slightly
• Now running Distension for Euros. Oops, wait, TW doesn't let half of Europe & Asia play anymore due to lag settings! Just kidding! (Insert mass revolt here)

To be implemented:

• +10% (or so) RP given for every ship you have over rank 20. Plan accordingly! Start ranking up ships now
• Makeup-RP bonuses for when bot crashes (should be less often now though)
• Comm abilities on Ops entirely free (just requires rank)
• Auto-!lagout and other small fixes

Lol at the reduced rearm times... totally called that one a month ago.

Only way to keep it from crashing with all the high rank players having infinite (exaggerated) prizes to be reprized each spawn.

It's only going to keep getting worse though... I hope there's some other options in the works to keep this from becoming a continued trend though.
