    [Brief summary of idea]: Limit levi allowances to 33-66% of the time.

    [Reasoning behind proposal]: Levis teamkill and make huge flagroom battles impossible.

    [Best way to implement]: Make it so like 5-10 rounds levis are allowed, then 3-6 rounds levis are disallowed. Or make people vote on levis allowed, similar to !shufflevote, every now and then.

    Train levis, allow them to gain skill in base by removing small weasel. Today they fire wild hoping for a few kills until they get cloaked or have to LT to survive. Levis were part of huge flagroom battles before. If this is just about teamkill remove javs and sharks as well. All of the bomb ships teamkill and ruin basing if played without skill.

    Same as above, then also make people vote on no javs, no sharks, no weasels, no terrs even. Just any ship some don't like for whatever reason. All you will get is frustrated players using the levi allowed time to randomly kill everything in sight. !shufflevote already does just that job. It is in no way helping balancing as many players freqhop instantly and those who worked on high bounty or were lev and did not teamkill get punished for no reason and are pushed to private freqs.

          how do you stop someone from sitting in spec in a levi taking up the spot of a levi on a freq??

          not sure that would work....
          Women will never be equal to men until they can walk down the street with a bald head and a beer gut, and still think they are sexy.

            yeah, it has some issues, but most players who lev do so on priv freq, so its hard for speccers to guess it

              The reward of killing an lt is no-existent, since it takes only 2 minutes to green it up again and here we go, another 15-30 mins chasing for someone just to get your little moment of fun basing. if its impossible to get rid of them, then at least make lting very much harder, change the attaching bounty to something that really needs time to get (we all know lts green in safes which imo isnt fair play at all). Or, after every LT killing, allow public to VOTE to disable lts for 30 mins? That way even you L O V E will see how few ppl like your "fun".

                Might also vote on not allowing to spec people to stop you from spechunting and vote on no javs so u can't tk on purpose when you don't like how someone plays hm?

                Show me which LT survives a 15-30 mins hunt by a halfway skilled single hunter (who also keeps it from getting in positions to fire most of the time) without getting extremely lucky or sitting in safe all day. I might be able to train you to do it in 10% of the time without antiwarp or whatever buys. Will also quickly get levs and terrs broke when they have to keep buying reps and ports and make them even more vulnerable. It does look a little different when you try to hunt a bigger team guarding the LT but then again... TW pub is about teaming right?

                  Wasting your breathe, those in control are operating in ‘we have to please everyone’ mode; they have added ‘features’ in a desperate attempt to be all things to all people. Obviously kill-a-thons, dueling sub-arenas, LTs have nothing to do with capturing the flag room and holding the flag or teamwork and are counter to the mission of TW.

                  Additionally Pub 0 is TW’s front door, it is the first impression that a new player gets when entering the game. A brand new player has plenty to learn, the ship type, weapon types, defensive features, how to fly and aim, how to take base etc. Last thing a new player needs to some complicated points/bucks system or 2 staffers in a LT raining down bombs on a good competitive basing game for their own selfish pleasure.

                  But the time to remove the things that gives distinct advantages to more experienced players in Pub 0 was about 8-10 years ago; many people suggested just that but it fell on deaf ears. So now the only thing left to do is say ‘we told you so’ and watch as the amount of new players entering, and sticking with, the game falls below critical mass. Instead of doing empirical discovery on new player retention people ran off to figure out ‘marketing’ approaches. Too bad their efforts will result in new players showing up and then leaving after 10 minutes when someone ?buys win. It could be that those in charge believe that the graphics of the game will be enough to retain new players.

                      This was actually discussed in a meeting about pub this weeoend as an option. We have a few things we discussed,but nothing has been decided upon, as we wish to get the players more involved in such decisions. We want to make LTs less powerful, without completely destroying them (at least the meetings consensus was that). We have a few other things in the works to help with communication of things as well, so once we get a few things done by dev, expect to see some (hopefully overall) positive changes.
