Not that I ever disliked those 2 arenas, but it was 8-10 full people away from elim/belim. imo besides pub those 2 are the most important arenas to restore to their former glory. It's just far too late at this point so I've never brought it up.

Yeah, rules in elim werent enforced for a long time so it did favor those people. I mean even 'way back when' people like metalkid ran elim by shooting r4's and greening. I enjoyed playing the way i played and so did plenty of others. The two elims were very good at getting new players introduced to higher levels of play. Now with wbduel/javduel they just never get picked and probably get discouraged. It's probably been happening for a long time, but I've been too selfish to care/notice cause I enjoyed playingI'm just a middle-aged, middle-eastern camel herdin' man
I got a 2 bedroom cave here in North Afghanistan

The game started dying when staff started listening to the 2-3 pub newbs on forums about what they should do/change in game to make it better.
On a more serious note, game has been steadily dying for the last 10 years. There isn't just one reason, and it certainly isn't the reason that Wazzzzzuuuppp.NL posted about. That accounts for less than 10 people quitting, which goes as unnoticed as a pub player quitting.
More recently, the game has been looking really bad because countless players (namely the players from Pandora, which is a large amount of die-hard TW players) decided to quit to play League of Legends. It's currently unknown if they will be returning for TWL. Their lack of interest in the game fostered Penetrate's core's lack of interest (because, without Pandora, we lose one of the juggernauts of the competition, and TWL only works and gains appeal when there's someone as good, or potentially better than you to compete against). For players like Wazzzzupppp.NL and Star Fox who are far-removed from the competitive dynamics and have no idea what I'm talking about: these squads each had 30-40 elite players with great leadership and the ability to place very highly in leagues year after year, and without them the zone activity looks worse than ever.
Realistically, at this stage, if Wazzuppp.NL and Star Fox were to get their way, and we were flooded with thousands of pub newbs for us to rebuild our community, even then, it still wouldn't "fix" what was broken. If you saw this influx of newbs, it would still take probably 4-8 years for them to be up to par to compete wit the vets, and in that time you'll have already seen the steady decline of veterans leaving complete itself. This is not because of anything that anyone in the game can work to fix, it's because the player base that kept this game truly alive (not 60-players pubbing "alive," but 8-12 squads competing in each TWL division "alive") started when they were 8-14 years old, continued playing for the last 10-15 years, and grew up. In your 20s life becomes a lot busier and more complicated and you find less and less time for this game. Nothing staff, or the players can do can fix this, and frankly "growing up and moving on" is the primary reason we're losing people. Some people, like RednaZ, think this game should have been put to sleep 7 years ago. I disagree, but you have to understand it's been "dying" for much longer than most of these pub newbs like Wazzzzupppp.NL and Star Fox have even been playing. There's not just one underlying reason, and there are countless other factors playing into this games' demise.
Star Fox, you can't start playing in 2010, make a forum account in 2011, and start trying to point fingers at players who have been here since 1999 and act like you know what you're talking about. Guy probably doesn't even know who 2dragons is.
Another reason this game has been dying is the unstable server. When these players in their 20s and 30s who have grown out of this game finally put their work aside to play, and they log on to a broken server that doesn't allow them to play TWD or pub, do you think they'll ever log on again?
But, just like a cancer patient in critical condition, do you just walk away and leave him or her to die on their own? Or do you stand by his or her side until their last breath? That's up to you to decide.

so that's why i rather see this thread closedSimplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

you FOOLS
you drove away FiS by complaining & not being able to adapt to good setting changes, and now someone else took over & reset pubbux, put in cloakers who have cloak & stealth, changed the map, removed items from the store, and other stuff
Your abuse of FiS caused another worsening.
