Why should anyone play the leagues? Everyone's in agreement that the mods cheat and they allow their friends to cheat too. If I ever play this game again (almost 6 months since I last played), I'm gonna make a macro telling everyone not to play the leagues for that reason.

Or at least they use to. Mods led or mingled with every top squad back from 2001-2010 (or longer) whose members employed some of the most blatant cheats out there. Then, they covered it up relentlessly for years claiming its all a conspiracy or just lag or noobs complaining hah. I don't know who would be stupid enough to enter TWL or the leagues and spend 99% of their time trying to differentiate between euro lag which keeps them barely under the lag limits or outright cheating which magnifies the rotation of the ship so blatantly and/or other aspects which you can't dodge or anticipate a bullet because it already hits you as their ship rotates.

Either way, the leagues are zombied in perpetuity due to staff's and mods prior cheating sprees. There is zero trust in the leagues, at least applying my personal perception from the last 12-13 years and discussions with other casual players.

A good starting point a few years ago to try and earn back trust in the leagues would've been to monitor cheating closely and see how some can bypass lag limits and what they are using. Another good starting point to earn back trust would've been to split up the uncomfortable mingling between mods/staff and those "vets" who cheated prior, who seem to run the top 5 squads in TWL every year to pad their ego.

Well either way, if the leagues ever recover, It will most likely take all new people who have no idea what went on since day 1.

Well, i warned them in 2006 on these forums of repercussions from their hidden cheating. I told them that it would come back in a big way and rip all or most trust in the leagues alongside their credibility with regard to fairness. Older mods/staff didn't listen as they, themselves, destroyed the leagues slowly but surely.

Under a week? I was staff there for couple months back in 2008 so get your facts straight. I also staffed in Counter Strike and the original DS was "infantry". However DS was a shit zone anyway and it died off because of uneducated staff. I've done more than your euro lag has done in your entire trenchwars career. If you were to compare all the zones Trenchwars is the easiest out of the bunch so don't get butthurt.

Back to topic: Both M_M god and demonic are useless and should resign for their failures in this zone. They have contributed little to this zone. There was actually decrease in population since these staff members have been involved and are a disgrace to the trenchwars community.

Lets be serious here, my so called "cheat" was eating a bullets so that causes for a long ban when in reality you fuckers always eat bullets with 200ms pings and still get to play cause staff is on your fucking squad. I was responding to dr death, crescent seal, and ricko regarding 2pac and bans. I did not introduce this topic Ephemeral. Further, when you talk about mismanagement of the zone in general, it must also include bans.

But your right, the general focus of this thread should not focus on one particular ban or players ban.

But as I stated I was merely responding to other players who brought up 2pac, specifically Ricko, and now yield the conversation back to general discussion.

1) 2pac served 5-6 months of his ban and his expiration was expected around February.

2) 2pac's ban was extended at/near expiration. Reason given, evasion of ban and/or another offense in Desert Storm as I understand it.

3) SSC ops are allegedly not reachable in any timely fashion. This is documents by posts on this forum for the last few months between 2pac and Left_eye, thus, logging into find SSC ops should not be evasion since the procedures are erroneous. This is not disputable.

4) Staff has cheated since 2001 with their friends for years, most of which were never banned and the entire concept of cheating was made into a conspiracy theory by staff for years.

5) 1 year bans, by nature, are absurd. Ban me for a year you'll never see me again i'll move on instantly. No way i'd wait that out.

6) He cheated in a non-threatening way. Not in the leagues, not to crash the server or anything, but in some lame event or other garbage. Yes its UNACCEPTABLE to cheat, 100% agree, should be punished, but im arguing duration and other things.

7) Hes a long term member of this game. Hes played for a decade or longer. Hes part of the family like it or not.

8) Again, he was waiting out his ban and showed his interest to play again on these forums for months. Extending his ban at the last minute, nearing expiration is a badly timed tease, and makes mods look like jackasses to do it so late in the ban cycle.

9) This entire situation is asinine. Worst case, you unban him, he cheats again, back on a ban for 5-6 more months max.

10) Staff cheated way too long and egregiously in the past for me to say throw away the key on 2pac. I hate cheaters, but all things cannot be punished equally, and i'm done with discussing this case.

Errors were made on both sides here. The fact that he can't or couldn't reach SSC ops, theres no real unbiased appeal process and/or the duration is absurdly long should void the damn ban anyway.

I won't support extending a ban as a tease on last month another year. If you didn't know about his abuse in other zones within the first few weeks of his ban, you have no right to extend it less than a month (or so) before expiration after 6-7 months.

the games different now, stop being dicks and bashing each other and start making positive changes like not being a complete douchebag 24/7 and start appreciating and helping the people that have put up with your immature ways for years

maybe instead of completely focusing on bringing new players we should try to focus on bringing back old players who already understand the game and how it opperates and then with a larger following work on getting new blood, put the emails that people register to forums or their names to good use and send out a mass message to come back to tw, like the stupid shit your phone app games do to get you to play them again "havent seen you in a while, come check out blahblahblahblah" or like WoW does when you get random emails about Refer a friend free 3 month subscription! kinda shit

Unbanning everyone makes sense, but the staff doesn't have the balls to do that they are corrupt as fuck and there is a reason why dezmond has stepped down from bang position cause there is only 1 person in charge and they control everything. That is abuse to the max.

Staff continue to keep banning me even with public support and they still haven't learned shit yet. They are fucking crooks.
