We got several thousand new players over in quake, but nearly every single one of them is now gone. Just a heads up.

Theres no such thing as ddos protection, it doesnt work. You just have to have massive servers.

DDoS protection is a thing, Wark, for both sites and game servers. as an example, CloudFlare (?) seems to be a really good, cheap option for cloud-based web hosting.

That honestly looks awesome, is there any way to squeeze in the fact that there are no microtransactions in the game, and that its literally 100% free to play, I see more people comment about that than anything else. Lots of games advertise that they are free to play but very few are free to play and have no way of buying extra bonuses that make it easier to win. Free to win doesn't quite capture that fact.
