Big step with SS making Steam, this is the perfect time to step up. Because this is what we needed as a community to get this game going again.

Like everyone has said before, make pub NEW USER FRIENDLY. You will not retain a player base without some type of tutorial or guidance. Staff PMS aren't good enough. Seriously, we have some money aswell. If we need to spend money to get some type or better coding involved for bots lets do it.

This is the probably the most crucial moment this game ever needed us as a community and staff members. So staff members, whoever is in charge of coding and bots. Please consider a new player base tutorial system.

I agree man. Egos need to be put aside for the greater good of the game. As players we need to give a better example to newer players, and teach them how to play pub, twd, or whatever there desire needs. We can't always have drama with eachother.

i'm somewhat worried about the new players from a staff perspective. we are not prepared for a wave of new players, the public arena still has its flaws, the tutorial is still not finished et cetera. there is a glimmer of hope, and we are hopefully making the steam download client basically one with tons of quality-of-life changes (such as adding pre-downloaded maps and lvz files) to make it a smoother experience. good news nonetheless, although there is still a lot of work needed to be done (and probably some legal stuff sorted as well) before we can launch the game on steam.

I told up in ya!! I'm prepared to help out, this is definatly like a saving grace for the game we all have grown to love an I can't wait to see it prosper once again. I'll be keeping an eye out with my new player squad to transition some players into TWD. Because that's what I fell in love with 10+ years ago. Once again if I'm needed to help i am willing let me know what I can do

Positive attitudes and helping in any way we can is definately what we need right now. Feedback is greatly appreciated as well as just being helpful to new players, giving tips and offering help in any other way you can and want. We will need to rethink a lot of stuff, changes and current situations if we indeed manage to get on Steam, but I believe we can make this work.

Echoing a little bit from what Turban and M_M have said, we have some hope now. We've been given a hand to play and we need to be careful when we call. We need to work together as a community, both staff and players alike, in a constructive and positive way to have a solid foundation on which to build.

I'll volunteer to be a <ZH> to help new players when we launch if staff is worried about being overwhelmed. I know how to do all the welcomebot stuff and like to help newbies. Just letting you all know if you need more help I'm game to help again.

Good stuff. Equally important for new players is a trenchwars website that provides them with easy to access information and tutorials. A section on the forums dedicated to new players with tutorials, and an area for questions moderated consistently would help. That will help with player retention.
