No, I didnt steal the idea from anywhere, I just came up using borrowed bits from TWEL1 and TWL and just general experience.

Top ... Why don't you try to flesh out some of the logistics on this thread? Like how long would these tourney's last? Would they be played all in one day or within a week? Are they scheduled matches played on a agreed time or a preset time set by ops? Would there be a break btwn each tourney? How would you handle squads/verifying teams and members in each squad? Do they need to be squadjoined? Will these tourney's be recorded so that everyone knows Team Noobies wins TWT VII? What's the best # of players to limit each team to?

I would like to get some sort of acknowledgement from staff before I start thinking about stuff like that. This wont fly without staff support, so I'm just trying to get some support up before I bug someone.

Get 2dragons to do it, he organized the TWEL thing (website and bot), and the bot would run very similar to the TWEL bot.

I'm with Dabram on having different rosters for warbirds, javelins and basing.

Also, I think the best numbers to limit the teams would be 10 for wb and jav and 15 to basing.

try contacting svs aml staff, they have set a simulair thing up.. called "draft leage".. maybe you can get some code wich ya can modify for tw needs..

it works on a points-based-system where each squad (ehh "team") has an sertain amount of points and can buy players in the team. player points are calculated on rating so every team are, in theory, all around the same strength.

What you want is a draft league ... what Top is proposing is just whoever wants to get together to play in a tourney league.
