as soon as you get any good they think you are just being a dick and won't take it seriously.

whereas people can work towards joining a good squad, you can't "make" yourself get worse :s

Reminds me of the first squad I joined in TW.

First they wanted me to go 10-0 in pub. I couldn't go better than 5-0, tried twice heh.

But then after failing that I still passed to the 2nd stage which was dueling some member and winning. I ended up losing 3-2 or something (it was a best of 5).

Still they let me join for some reason. I remember I was laughing my ass off because at the time I had only played TW for 2 weeks and I was just screwing around in pub, while really playing SVS Pro League (where all squads have tight recruiting standards).

Personally IMO squads that have tryouts to let people on aren't squads you want to join. If they really cared about their members they'd scout out people correctly and not resort to pointless trials where you can be good one day and bad another.

Anyways, the best way to get into good squads is connections. Unless your a hardcore player and are always online most squads won't notice you. I know abunch of people on TW. Thats pretty much the reason I got on solstice. I recruited Kaotic from pub on my old squad, kaotic got me onto wraiths 2 months later, i joined wraiths, wraiths dissolved, about 3 months later abunch of ex-wraiths are on solstice and I got recomended by someone.
