On Cig Smoke

After reading this current thread and watching Cig smoke whine, bitch and complain and encourage others in smearing Elusive
and then get rehired I think I should drop an opinion or two:


I think staff should act in a responsible and respectful manner whether they be playing the game, making predictions or writing a thread in complaint from being removed from staff. Answering alot of help calls is good but it does not mean one can disrespect other players or squads. In my opinion staff should try to take a neutral stance on issues and Cig Smoke has failed to do this.

Comments like this:

"some abusive smods who hang together in teh same squad"

"for u smod fuckers who decided to be fags (and trust me i know who u are) fuck u all thast why things go wrong in TW."

Show the kind of individual he can be. Hopefully he will learn something from a 7 day suspension -some how I doubt it, I hope in time he learns how to use the proper methods of talking to staff instead of coming to the boards and trying to make a issue out of it and placing blame on other individuals. As I know there are many staff yahoogroups, and people like Weaver/Yomama etc to look into such issues. It's good to see staff gives people second chances though sometimes you got to wonder why bother?

There are alot of good people out there who would take such a position seriously and would not act like this.

nah Pio, i didn't join Paladen to get on staff... and it wasn't meant as an insult...and for the record, paladen only finally accepted me AFTER i got ZH for some reason.. i left about 1.5-2 months after for reasons between me and 2 other members... both of whom seem to have quietly left tw.

Do you expect cig smoke to just sit there and let things ride? Do you expect him to just go out with a whimper when he can go out with a bang? What do you think made Cig Smoke start doing this stuff to the Elusive squad; the squad in which you currently reside? Cig is one of the most nicest people I've met on this god forsaken game and knowing there are alot of assholes on the internet, me for one, I don't think Cig would start bullshit like this and bad mouth ANYBODY even if they curse him off in full caps and spam. But when something like his squad comes into play, he sticks up for it. That means only someone else, staff or not, can get cig so worked up. You might want to look into your own squad for answers to who it could be. All I know is that Cig Smoke will definitely not start anything unless he was shoved from the back and pushed over the edge. And looks like Cig has gone over and back.

And yes that shows the kind of individual he is. Someone who DOESN'T QUIT. An individual that sticks up for what's right and tries to figure out what's wrong. If he finds that he's wrong, he'll admit his fault and even apologize. I pity him for being that but I damn respect him for being someone alot of people can't be. And if you think that makes him or anybody bad staff members, then we should start hiring more BAD staffers.

Someone who cares about staff and likes there position would go about the proper way of finding out why they were axed. Also there is no need to point blame at an entire squad. I am not staff the majority of elusive is not staff, and there is no reason why someone should bitch at us because they are having a bad day and got axed for it. Cig Smoke getting axed is between him and Staff, and if he feels he has a problem with some individuals its still a staff matter. This is not between him and Elusive or him and trench. So why bring it to the boards?

If a staff member has has a problem they can go about it looking after it the right way through the right channels (you know what they are), they dont need to come and flame on the boards no matter how angry or upset you are. It is good that Cig recognized his mistake, but this whole post was not necessary and elusive taking hate from cig and others was not necessary or right.

Since were all sharing our views on Cig Smoke, I mid as well too. Frankly I didn't even know the guy till he started trashing Elusive in his "predictions", he doesn't even realize he's being offensive while he's making these predictions, and defends all of his comments with the words "its my OPINION". I personally think anybody who is on staff should act a little more respectable like Rule mentioned in the earlier post. When I go over Cig Smoke's predictions and comments on the forums towards Elusive or replies to certain Elusive members for the past weeks, makes me wonder why staff hires these children. Hell, I know I can act like a dick sometimes as well, but im not staff now am I?

Even in the game i've witnessed this guy teaming several times, with people such as "Splinter". Shouldn't a ZH or any staff member be enforcing these such rules, not breaking them? Heck he's even admitted to teaming when I've mentioned it in the game to him.

When it comes down to it, I think staff should start hiring some more mature and grown up people, with all do respect, the guy acts like a child everytime I see him. People like that shouldn't have any power's whatsover, and if you say you can't find anyone else to do the job, thats bullshit. This is the largest zone in subspace, im sure you can find the right people, just be a little more picky about who you hire. Who cares if someone takes help calls more then others, doesn't make them right for the job.

kinda hard to do that if some of the higher powers don't follow that manifesto themselves.

and i'm pretty sure any hatred (not just from cig, but from everyone in general) directed towards elusive stems from a select few of your members exhibiting extremist egotism (yay alliteration!) that gets trickled down by typical blind loyalty of the nicer members. that was a gigantic run-on sentence, but it makes sense... kinda. basically what i'm saying is that some elusives act like asses, then the nicer ones stick up for the assholes just because they're squaddies. it happens with any squad, but is most noticeable with elusive because of the massive ego complex in the first place.

I think it was necessary cos w/o it he wouldnt have got this attention and a final chance to prove to staff how well liked he is in the game. And what this zone needs in times where more and more people complain about "newbie" zh`s, are people in staff that the players actually do like.
Also Im not sure if he would have gotten his job back w/o this post...
finally, I like when we find out stuff about staff and how they work. I dont think staff should be like a closed society

Because I wouldn't let Cripples recruit people thanks to the roster lock which everyone had to abide to but Cripples thought they were above it. After that Cig Smoke started to flame me and my squad. You call that nicest guy you know?

I agree with Epinephrine and Rule on this one. I can't judge about how Cig Smoke did his staffjob, since thats inside information, but I do have seen Cig Smoke behaving very immature in baseelim among with some others. And not just once. This has nothing to with the fact whether I like Cig Smoke as a person or not, hell I dont even know him really, but the way he started to bother me with his "crippled friends" hunting / teaming me because they thought I was Nas was just sad. People on staff should take their job seriously and avoid trashtalking and/or immature behavior, that includes harrasing people who play this game for fun.

I agree that without this thread Cig probably would not have gotten back on staff. However, his manner, and the way in which he conducted his argument was 'unbecoming' that of a staff member.
