Talon is a crazy pubber that hangs up top with the roof squad. Daze_ is also a good pubber. Both were asked to join staff, They're like the only respected pubbers.

Levs and Lt's do not ruin basing, they are in the game for a reason. I'm sure you can figure out that reason (5 fer's)!

Any ship that can get 5fers without even aiming is overpowered

each ship has its strengths and weaknesses and take some form of skill to use each with positive results.

I don't think the problem with levs is that they have too much strength, I think the problem is that they're completely useless for basing.

I just feel that Levs have a place in this game, same as cloakers have a vile but important reason for being involved. They make the game interesting and can change everything(at least for a few mins) with one press of a button, sure this applies to all ships but the LEVI has the most dramatic effect, positive or negative.

I am a firm beliver in the '500 hrs usage before you can pilot one' concept.

lol veh sry i have to turn this into another arguement about levis... but i think that pure pubs (along with normal pubs; just put a bot in certain pubs and not in others) are a reasonable request that would solve a ton of problems.

Troll King is the only one I know who plays alot of pub.
I've never seen yomama! anywhere else than pub =/
and Da Farmer rocked as baselev yesterday. He died after like 10 seconds in base each time. But hey, at lest he didn't TK!

Geez, I wonder why I'm forgotten. Many of those players you guys listed I don't consider #1 in pubs. What happened to Zerzera? Now he was good in many different ships, especially shark/terrier. Also guys like Rudy, FatherG, Yahui, Mr.420, jeffhardy, cigsmoke, honda_prelude, and others... ohya BobR javer, is not good, but very nasty....love how he warps as soon as your shot approaches him..heh..thanks to him I learned the mighty sucker strategy..

Just like to mention that spider Lunch3, is one of the best spiders I have seen... and I have beaten alot of spiders.... I know thee spider weakness..heh..

I use to take pub seriously, now I take it as a leisure/practice area.

Trust me, if I really concentrate, I can usually get TOP5 in pubs. I did get #1 before, but no big deal now. For me, TWDD/ELIM is the ultimate challenge and thats where you really meet the best on Trench Wars. I don't have enough time to devote to pub, since I'm sidetracked with many other things.

The Talon/Daze combo, they are awesome basers, but they are above average open space duelers..atleast from my experience, I have tested them and it was a pleasure dueling them.

I personally, try as a warbird to be good at mid-base and openspace and can take on most. I'm not perfect, but I know I'm not unknown..heh.. for a warbird, it stops at mid-base... going into base is usually suicide....all you can do is help out the freq, take out key foe ships when they rush.

I do have one flaw, I always play warbird and I'm not good with other ships (or havent tried). I find the warbird enjoyable to play with, I just like how it flies... good all around fighter....

But then again, sometimes its good not to be known, then you have the element of surprise. Like when I see well known names, I know what to expect from them and can adjust to their skill level.

Just my humble opinion....

I partially agree with you Bounty*Killer, 500 hrs of usage is where you start to understand. But their is exceptions, some people have been playing these type of video games all their life or have fast reflexes/(eye-hand-coordination).

literally anyone can get the kind of top 5 you're talking about, it just depends on how much you play. i think it actually tends to be newer people because they become infatuated with the game. when i was new i hit about 50 i think.
