Anyways, was most of you calling for Ice's axing because of how you know him on the forums? Just because you don't like somebody, and I don't particularly care for Icey, doesn't mean they're not qualified to do their job. I haven't had the opportunity to interact with Icey via the Staff-Player relationship in TW, and I'm not staff, so I don't know if he does his job well or not. To those who want him axed: do you know how well he does his job? Honestly, give the guy a break if he's doing what he's supposed to.

If he's doing a shitty job though... thats a different story.

You're right, the more "known" players don't always need to be staff, any person that staff sees as helping out enough they're going to recruit... or at least should (cept for begging, paladen, sucking up). You don't NEED a tag to help people out, I know I, as well as several others are able to help new people get situated in ?go base, pubs, elim and such by just pming them when they ask, instead of spamming obsenities like people do (esc+q shit like that), we do it because it's nice to know that you might have "initiated" another new and possible promissing recruit into TW.

Only idiots ask those questions without using ?help and/or reading F1 menu.

When I first got this game, I learned everything from F1 menu and ?help.

No-one has my respect as a staffer unless they've been playing TW regularly and constructively for at least 6 months. I'm sure some new players are qualified to do the job, but so are many other more experienced folks who would leap at the chance but are frequently overlooked.

I'm not the one picking staff nor am I rating people. Theres enough jokes going around like Telcat, annux ect for staff...

When I think of someone who would actually be good as a staffer, I'd look for someone who is knowlegable about the zone & SS in general (that ussaly means an old player). Someone who is sincere about helping TW and enjoying playing the game at the same time. One last thing would be someone who doesn't get into petty fights with players and other staff in game and on the forum.

IMO.. if the person can do his job (as a staff) right, then he fits to be a staff. How long he/she has been playing this game isnt really important. I know ppl who got to be staff with in 6 months of playing. Anyho, thats just my opinion. Feel free to correct me.

Anyone who actually does something for Trench Wars should be considered. There are tons of people who get hired and did nothing to get that position. Anyone who actually contributes to this zone, whether it be radio, mapmaking, web design, bots, etc., should definetely be considered for staff. The people who tweak me are people who are dickheads and only get on staff because they were buds with some upper staffers.

i'd say its should be kolar,pauloakenfolaeadded, old NS guys ,and maybe bosshawk and brook. but brookus doesnt want to join staff cuz SS is a place where you come to play and relax,its not a full time job. thats what goes for me i guess,it becomes to hectic in the school time but summer would be alright to be on staff.
