Map makers:
In 8-bit mode Continuum uses a fixed palette of 256 colours. If you use other colours in your tileset Continuum will automatically change them to the nearest matching color. This can sometimes result in ugly and unwanted colours.
You can either try to change the colours manually in a paint program such as Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop and load the palette from another map (EG: public map), so you can check what it'll look like in Continuum.
Players:
Change your Continuum to 16-bit (or 32-bit) colours. To do this follow the instructions below:
Start Continuum
Goto the View menu
Select Options from the pull down menu
Click on the Graphics tab in the window that appears
Change Color Depth by clicking on the pull-down arrow and selecting 16 (or 32)
