Something about donation website ...

Well, I donated US $10 to TW server on the 5th of Oct, the amount of $15.13 Australian dollars was deducted from my acccount on the 8th of Oct by paypal. It has been a month and my name is still NOT on the donation website. I am pretty sure I have entered my SS nickname (TelCat) on the form.

I know $10 is not a big amount and it's nothing much compare to $1000 a month server cost. But if every other donar's name goes on to that list, why shouldn't be mine???

I wonder how many other people's donations were not recorded. I highly doubt it is the 1st time, and it is possible it will not be the last time.

I was thinking of donating some more later on (in a couple of months time). But right now I am really not sure ...

So, is the entire reason you're donating so that you can get your name posted on the site?

I don't know which is worse (or better) doing the right thing for the wrong reason, or the wrong thing for the right reason....

No, that's not the entire reason. But be able to see my name on the donation web site definitly acted as an encourage.

The reason why I am reluctant to donate any more is that I am just not sure the money I donate will go to the fund for TW server.

Having your name posted up as a donor is used as an encouragement for others to participate, and for current donors to continue their support. Since posting up names on a website does not take up much effort or any money, it is a small favor that TW can return to the community to give thanks to those who care for the crisis.

Next time email me if you don't see your name on the donations list! Sometimes I notice something, then subsequently get distracted and forget about it. I'm very busy lately and sometimes things slip my mind. Sorry about that.
