Went from Chaos West to Powerball before quitting in late '98, then started in TW when I came back to the game in '01. I quit again sometime that year and came back again earlier this year.
Since you've been playing like 3+ times longer than i have (since 1997), why haven't i ever seen you?

I started in about 2000, 6th grade. First SSC name was like "soccer16" or something. Changed to Wreckless MiG, started SSDZ (Subspace Developing Zones) Server. Ran it for like 2 years with orion pax. Famous zones like Counter Strike and Hyperspace got their start there, and also extraordianry mappers like riptone and k0zy. Also the player known as "DEA" played there as well. He was a smod in an SSDZ Zone.

We went under, so i started playing TW. Found an inspiring bertrand russel quote and changed my name to "conceive", then "apostate", then Intention / Jerome, depending on the zone I play in.

edit: opened calculator, my total usage is 15k, approx 14k spent in AFK

I started Subspace in the summer of 2000, I played DSB for a day but because I always had high packetloss I would lag out. I didn't know about any other zones at the time so I chucked it. Then a year later, summer of 2001, I came to TW, predictable ol' me I was able to guess the password to my fruitang account so I took it back and started playing TW. I spent the majority of my first month playing public arenas before I got picked up by British Squad, then spent time playing elim and TWT before I was invited to a private basing match. The basing pretty much took over, I had little stints where I would go to baseelim now and then but basing was always my main game and it wasn't long before I quit British Squad and joined Anti-Scrub. Enjoyed a good TWL Basing Season with Anti-Scrub who happened to jav at the time too but then I returned to British Squad for the start of TWD, a few months into that I quit British Squad again to look for a squad who were a bit more all-rounded as British Squad predominately duelled at the time. So I joined Melee who were already in TWLD and J but were aiming to go for TWLB. Then mid-season of TWL6, May of this year, I joined Pallies where I still am but don't play as much anymore. Basing is still my main game but I like to jav also.

I did test subsbace when I got it from a gaming-magazine.
I tested a lot of zones but didn't really like any of them very much so I quit. That was about the year 1996 in the summer. I don't know with version it was (maybe V. 1.24) but I remember that you could practice offline.

After some years I found that old cd and installed it again. It didn't work so I looked around on the net and found out that the game wasn't gone. I downloaded the game again and found out that DSB teamkilling there was quite fun. I also found this exelent zone.

I joined some squads but I didn't like squading so I just started to play baseelim on fulltime. Then RR gave me his chat and I started to play mythrandir. Then i left the chat because there were so many on that chat who wasn't supose to be there (Newbies).
Then Gabraham asked me to join floydians, and I did, together with Leaf. But they dissolved and i moved on.

I then base started up and lighted up my life. I have been squadless since then.

Now these days i don't play so much because I realised that I was going over on the "nerd-side". That im glad for.

alright because it seems like a lot of people have given input on this, here's mine:

started playing early '98 I think, at DSB. Hanged around there for months, not really getting into the squad scene and all that, just playing the game with my neighbor. Well, later on during the year '98 we decided to give TW a shot, trying to make our own squad and stuff, but we were still newbies back then so I didn't know what I was doing. Spent a lot of time on squads like Sk8, Scrotal's Horde!!, Flying Imp and Wildfire. Around the Wildfire times I finally got a new display that upped my resolution the max, and some time afterward got my DSL line. It was about those times I really started getting good, and I guess some boys in Siege noticed, and I got recruited. I'm not sure but this might've been around the new year 2000 or something. Flew around with Siege, winning shit left and right, then Siege went on hold after winning another TWL championship, and I joined -FiNAL- and played TWT there. For the next TWL season, Siege was back once again and we took it. Then dissolved siege for good. I believe I joined the new Elusive after that, then Disoblige as I thought joining a less-elite squad would make shit more interesting. Turned out Disoblige was not a less-elite squad. Around this time I thought of creating a squad of my own, and I hooked up with Sudden and his buddies to create Rampage. had fun, the whole works during the last TWL season. Dissolved Rampage and sneaked into Pallies with the help of my covert operative and main man, Mayo Inc., and this is where I am now.

God, sounds so short. Guess I must've forgotten a lot of shit from the past

                      1997
                      • My next-door neighbor, Chad, told me about SubSpace. I started out playing in Alpha, but quickly moved to TW.
                      • I was using the name falseman at the time.
                      • I got on my first squad ever, EliteWingz. Golden Knight was the captain at the time. He, just like me, was an utter newbie back then.

                      1998
                      • This was a boring year. I started using the alias Captkicass and was on the original LevTerr back when vult-r was still playing quite actively and was LT's captain.

                      1999
                      • I began using the alias syc0tik this year. This is when I really started to take an active role in the TW community.
                      • I ended up on a squad called Antithesis and was even running it for awhile.
                      • I became a ZH near the end of '99.

                      2000
                      • In early 2000, I got on a squad called Zero Hour. Misterio! is the motherfucking man.
                      • I was promoted to ER sometime during this year.

                      2001
                      • Sometime during this year, I finally got Louis XV to let me on Cripples. I spent the next three years on this amazing squad.
                      • I was promoted to Mod sometime during this year.

                      2002
                      • Way too much shit happened during this year for me to keep it all straight. I moved to a few different squads, always ending up back on Cripples. I ended up being axed from staff. Like I said, I don't remember the rest.

                      2003
                      • Much like 2002, this year has been pretty chaotic. I believe I spent a majority of my time on WR this year, using the alias Jason, which I had started using mid 2002.
                      • I retired from TW altogether this year, in fact it was a few months ago.

I was born a bastard child. The spawn of a whore and a great man who refused to acknowledge my illegitimacy. My mother abandoned me in the streets of New York. I like to think that she was a good woman, and had no other choice, but I am probably wrong.

I grew up knowing discrimination. The life of a street rat, among other street rats, has plenty of room for such things. It was, in the beginning, all about survival. I even had an edge, I was favored because of my size among the child gangs that exist in the seedy underbelly of the streets. Hell, I didnt even know I was human until I was 10 or so.

I never had a name given to me, and when I learned to be cool and play SS in 1998, I took the name Ephemeral. Where I got it, I'm not sure. I like to believe I was fated with it. Growing up on the streets was never easy, but for me, it wasnt hard. SS was about the same, but by far not the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

I was always welcome in squads, since my street gang expereince was as an enforcer or thug. By 1999, I was made an informant for the TW staff. Since that time, I have drifted endlessly.

Started mid-late 1997 (version 1.18-1.19 oneof those two) and went straight into alpha zone (with the name T-20 defense, I was obsessed with that area) then moved to chaos zone for a while and played there for a while.

When people could make there own zones I played WLI or USD annihilation where I joined the British Bulldogs (late 1997) with Cmdr. Valiant (now known as Valiant) and stayed there for a while, moving from that zone to other zones (Warzone chess and 17th both run by MikeTheNose and Caress) then started playing a zone called Trench Wars (mid 1998) where Valiant had started a new squad called British Squad which I joined and stayed with for a long time, but departed in 2000 I think for -final-, rest is history.
