Private chats?

Has anyone considered the idea of private chats, i.e. that would have an owner and would allow the owner to restrict who can be in the chat?

Right now the most you can do for a private chat is to not tell people, but if word leaks to the wrong person then it's a lot of trouble to get everyone to move.

If the problem is with coding it, I'd be willing to help if there's anything I could do for it in Java, C, or C++.

I think Cpt.Guano! is right saying it's in the source. Infact if you wanted to ?squadjoin= etc, PriitK told me while I was on staff that it would be all server side.

i think it's a very good idea...but I'd think it would only be useful to use it for squadchats. If you don't like someone who's on your chat, just ?ignore him...

I think the only way this would work WELL is if you could have a password protected chat that is the same name as a squad that you own. For example, there would be protected chats called "Spastic", "Melee", etc that only the people with the password could get on. Or maybe make it so that you can only be on if you are squadjoined to that squad.

ya thats a good idea stab, cept for friends chatsa and shiz u couldnt be squadjoined, and alt nicks, but somehow it'd need to be PW protected or something.

Good suggestion Stab, but I really don't see how it might be coded. I don't think Priitk will get another "FromGodtoPriitK.zip" anytime soon. I think chats are fine as they are.
