Sounds in Zoners

I was playing TWJD today, when strike did a zoner for an event using the scream sound. Now strike's not the only staffer guilty of this, but lately there's been a trend to use more than the basic sounds when doing zone ads. I like variety a lot, and ads are place it's been kinda lacking, but that particular sound corresponds with the lagout sounds for twd and, on top of that, it's damn annoying.

So, a request; please keep the sounds to the basics, and in lue of that, please don't use the scream?

eh i find it a lot better and i often reminisce (ok i dont know how to fucking spell that) about when they used to use more variety. mods should use %12 more. eveyone likes that one.

For my personal curiosity, would you validate that statement?

Having the scream go off when you're in the middle of a match is pretty distracting, at least up there with being PMed. I play with ?music=0, of course, but I like using all my senses when I play, so I leave the sound on. It's saved my ass plenty of times in twbds. There is a conflict between trying to play competitve twds, and making sure zoners don't aspire to mediocrity, but I don't think it's too much to ask that the more invasive sounds be limited from use. I mentioned before that the scream overlaps with the lagout sound provided by the twd bot, and that in itself should probably make it's use in zoners restricted, even if it wasn't highly irrritating to boot.

Yes i agree they shouldn't do that or the sound assicated with Game Over or MVP and have done ?help's to ask them to stop.

I think Cpt.Guano! was the last i saw do this and i did ?help and he answered and said i was probably right that it'd be annoying for people in TWD matches so he said he wouldn't do it anymore. There was also a smiley face at the end of his sentence.

This forum is supposed to be used for suggestions to TW staff from the entire community. This is something I thought warranted discussion, and you've got to admit it's a sight better than the usual "Mods are racist assholes" topics that get posted here.
