Avatar Contest sounds good, ne?

Maybe we should do something a bit more constructive as having an avatar contest where we can, lets say, submit 3 entries of avatars and the winning 10 or so get their avatar inputted to the system as a choosable avatar for everyone to share.

I also thought that it is a good time to UP the size to 100x100, mainly because I'm seeing a lot of new forums having that size (still 10kb) and we should move with progress.

P.S. we can also restrict the winning avatars into certain categories of contest, such as best hot chick avatar, cutest, scariest (within boundaries of nothing that violates current forum rules), best animated, funniest, most random, tw related, etc.


Any comments, add-ons, or suggestions? Hopefully this can be seen through and happening in the near future.

I think the contest is kind of a cool idea, but I doubt you're gonna get the avatar restrictions changed too much--remember that we just throttled the posts/page number to curtail bandwidth.

But if we leave the graphic size at 10kb but upgrade the avatar size, will it make that much of a difference?
