    I thought it would be cool if the team's mines could have a different color from the enemy's mines.
    People wouldn't wait behind a mine barrier waiting for their shark to rep them, if they could know that those mines are friendly
    That would be particularly useful for the base terr I think

    For this to be done, enemy mines would have to be a different level, as with TW settings that would mean one team would have mines with a bigger splash. I'm not saying that it couldn't be done, but it would require a lot of reworking of the setting to replace the work that a good shark can do with a repel.
    People who are rather more than six feet tall and nearly as broad across the shoulders often have uneventful journeys. People jump out at them from behind rocks then say things like, "Oh. Sorry. I thought you were someone else."

      It would have to be hardcoded into the Continuum client.

      I dunno if I would like that anyways, though. If there is no difference between enemy and team mines, it makes you have to pay more attention, or call out "ENEMY MINES" or "TEAM MINES" if you know what they are.

      Ok, I made up my mind. Leave it the way it is.

        Or do something with the radar on them. Make NME mines blink one color, like purple or something, and friendly mines another color. :P

          Learning where to place mines and how to remember and recognize ones you've laid is one of the things that seperates good sharks from average ones. If a shark does it well enough, his teammates will be able to tell as well. They should also be able to tell their teammates when to go through or when to wait for repels.


          On a similar note, I can't even begin to count how many times people won't get out of the way of enemy mines so your shark CAN repel them. They know those mines aren't theirs, yet they won't get out of the freaking way. When people do this, other teammates assume those mines are safe too and run through them. It's all about communicating with your team.

            but if the mines were different, were would all the fun be? that would make the game soooo much easier. besides, then i wouldn't get as many kills in a shark!

                You can't dimboy, because there is only 1 bomb.bm2, and it only uses one image.

                Making mines recognizable would disrupt the gameplay, and it's a big enough change to be undesirable.

                      Couldn't you just edit TW settings to make L1 bombs and L2 do the exact same damage, and then have Freq 0 lay L1 and Freq 1 lay L2, or something along those lines?

                      A bot could prize "bombs upgraded" to any sharks on Freq 1. Or it could be done odd an even freqs. I dunno.
