wait, back to the matter at hand, anyone else have that shark glitch? and if so. what version of windows you running? are you using the stock shipset? and any other variables that you can think of that could effect this.

I do not have this problem, BUT I do have a problem with the screen randomly locking for several minutes, BUT ONLY WITH ATI CARDS! My old P133 had a Voodoo2 and never locked, but my comp at home with a TNT2, my laptop with a M3 Mobile, and my new comp with a Radeon all freeze like this. MY neighbour has run the game for a few hours, and his does not freeze with a geforce card.

                  try all stock =P
I've never had continuum crash at all, and if I could figure how to threaten HopOne.net into fixing that one fucking router that is the cause of 90% of connection issues, things would be perfect.

I think it's the MS Keyboard. When I play on my own computer, I never receive this problem, but when I play on my dad's computer who uses a MS Keyboard, the damn thing crashes once in a while... But this is just my guess, not sure.

So even though it's a completely different computer with completely different parts, you've deduced that it's the keyboard that is causing it to crash?

Digging up an old thread but it's the only relevant place to post.. I've got hit by the bug myself yesterday. Was in spec, ESC+8'd into shark, then Cont shut down. Now I don't feel safe anymore

rofl are u a complete moron? or just plain stupid?

more likely just too lazy to learn soemthing new?

XP because the easiest windows for dumb stupid people (any names come to mind here?) to use...... windows 98, although other then win 2k was the next best system, its a piece of garbage compared to XP

                          too funny....

I run Continuum on SuSE Linux 9.0

Yes, before I get flamed, I dont have a Continuum client specifically for Linux, but I got my way around it, modifying wINE, and modifying some libraries.

[sarcasm]I'm just too stupid to run Windows....not to mention dumb. [/sarcasm]

Bosshawk, if you were an expert computer user, you would have the same stability on Windows 98 or 95 as you would with Windows XP.

Maybe you're just so dumb and stupid that you don't realize that fact...

It's not the operating system, it's how you use it.

could be some conflict with the infamous 8 key (used for commands, you know) and TW bots - never heard of this in other zones

The 3 people that mentioned in this thread that they experienced the glitch are in fact, all staff members. I'm not staff, and I've never had this happen to me, and I've probably been changed or setshipped to a shark more than all of them combined.

I'd say that's probably not coincidence
