DSL or Cable?

I'm hopefully going to be getting one of these services pretty soon. I was just curious, what do you guys recommend? Cable or DSL? What are the pro's and con's of both services. Heard Cable may generate unexpecteed ploss at times... Is that true? Or can it easily be fixed when it does. Anyways, I'm clueless on which service would be best on playing Trench Wars. Thanks.

Cable: how more ppl are on the Cable how slower your connection is.

DSL: Always the same speed.

DSL if u life in a city for where many ppl are.
and if u are alone (or almost alone) u should pick Cable.

yeah get DSL, much better, its usually a 50:1 contention ratio which means that 50 people maximum are connected to the same server as you, any other users will be connected to a server with a free space, where as cable has no limit to the amount of users using the same server at one time, which will cause unwanted spikes.

ADSL has a lower and more steady lag but at least in Finaldn it's very expensive (I pay 38 € per month for a 256/256 connection)

Cable is good if yuo download lots of stuff but it's not very handy for online gaming as the lag is very unpredictable expecially during peak times.

I have Cable. 600kbit/s download and 128kbit/s upload.

I've heard that DSL gives you a better Download/Upload ratio but I can't be certain.

Recently I've had problems with my cable (online for 20 mins or so, offline for 20 mins or so etc..) but that's due to my ISP upgrading the network and I think it may have been fixed now.

It costs me £24.99 a month which I believe is about $45 - $50, but we have expensive internet in Britain compared to the USA

lol, cute.. But really, I would go with DSL, I use it in Toronto, busy area, and I never lagout, my ping is always 60 or below, and my C2S and S2C are either 0.0 or 0.1

yeah, i got DSL and it works absolutely fine.

i live in the center of a city with more than 1 million people, and I have cable.

Session Usage: 2 hours 38 minutes
PING Current:60 ms Average:60 ms Low:50 ms High:270 ms S2C: 0.1% C2S: 0.1%

What that means is that in two and a half hours, my peak spike was 270 ms, and there are many people who spike into the thousands. As you can see, I rarely leave the 60 ms zone. My downloads are usually between 200-300 KB/s, and I can stream anything (video included) and my ss never goes up at all. Cable's bandwidth is unmatched by dsl. That's a fact. If you live in Manhattan, then cable might not be best for you, but as I said, I live in a city with more than 1 million, and cable has always pulled through for me. As a matter of fact, I even have a computer getting internet through me with internet sharing and a hub. So all of this is actually while supplying internet to my neighbor down the hall at the same time. I say cable... no doubt.
