    Lcd Monitor

    recently my parents have bought me a new 19" Syncmaster 191r plus Lcd monitor and they said how its good for ur eyes and stuff blah blah blah

    But when i started playing with this montior and use thurst everything became very blurry and it looked like i am lagging, please help me!

        TFT monitors are renowned for their high response times, which causes blurring effects in games. However the current generation of TFT monitors should not have this problem. If you add up the RiseTime and the FallTime of your monitor, you can determine the total response time. The lower the better.

        By the way, also make sure you are using the optimimal (native) resolution and refreshrate for a 19" TFT monitor, which is 1280x1024 pixels @ 60 Hz.

                      your monitor is shit for games, go buy a CRT

                      but no, just get someone whos computer literate to come over and set your refresh rate to 60hz, since i think itl be at 75hz default in windows (dont quote me on this, not an LCD freak)

                        LCD's are not recomended for gaming, simply because the refresh rate on the LCD is much slower than the refresh rate of a CRT monitor.
                        With this statment in mind, this is why everything gets so blurry.
                        Just give it time, you will get used to it.

                              Gamer's LCDs equal CRTs in speed. It all depends on which LCD you pick. Generally the fastest LCDs will give you a refresh of 16 ms, or 62.5 hz. Most LCDs on the market aren't up to the task of giving you a fantastic gaming experience, but there are a few out there that can.
