Check if your dvd player plays svcd's (normally does), then just burn the avi with nero to svcd and put it in...

i did that but it still takes about 10-12 hours to encode (my computer is slow)

edit: fuck it, i'm buying the DivX dvd player

im not sure you'll want to convert avi to dvd straight, the resolution might fuck up..why not just get some fucking svcds and convert them or just download the origional 4.7gb dvd.

i bought the divx dvd player (which, i add, works great) so it's not an issue anymore
