here's the 411:

i wanted to play some game with someone, so i fucked around with my router and port forwarding and shit. ever since, my internet has been screwy.

websites, subspace, downloads, etc. work fine and normal, but AIM is constantly jkdhfafhbasdyf27y45qfufwehsadf, if you know what i mean.

like i'll be talking to someone and everything will look ok on my screen and theirs but i wont be receiving any of their messages/them my messages until a few seconds/minute later, i receive all their messages that i missed within like 1 second.

also when i view someone's profile it just says "Please wait..." for a few seconds/minute and when it finally comes up, i get all the IMs that i missed and shit too. and this happens probably about every 2-5 minutes for about a week i guess.

i've also tried resetting the router and whatnot.

and this has happened a few months ago when i fucked around with the router, but eventually it either fixed itself or i fixed it, either way i dont know.

I don't know but this always works for me if something is fishy. Format or jsut reinstall windows, run some files for the drivers, update windows, install programs and by some hours your computer feels very well. Though I never format my games,files and program partions. But that might not be the solution to your problem. What is that program called with icq, msn and aim + some other program.. ?

i think it works fine when none of the other computers on my network are connected.

theres a setting on the router where you can choose if you want it to act as a "Gateway" or a "Router" maybe that has something to do with it? its set on Gateway now

or maybe its fixed now. if it doesnt work again when someone else signs on, then i will change it to Router.

oh also all the other computers on the network are having the same problem.

Your Network and AIM are not cooperative with eachother. Get RoadRunner or some ####.
