Hey there friends,

Haven't played in many years but thought I'd log on and say hello to some old friends. Can't remember my old PW and the ?LP system doesn't seem to work as far as I can tell because I'm fairly certain which email I had it set to years ago. IP and whatnot won't match given I've moved several times since I was last active. However I'm happy to answer any questions about the account (where it was created, usage, etc.) and enough folks probably still remember me that I'm happy to answer any questions only the "real" Calm would know.

If it's not possible, no worries at all. Just thought I'd log in and say hello. Currently on the account Calm222 in game and may check in here and there over the coming weeks.

Hey, tried it out. Sent a request as well. Running around 20 years later now as "Rubey"

Would love to mix it up with some WBs and a little spider on some base.. I heard the game is still as laggy as ever, exciting times. Hopefully I can get my name back too.

I haven't gotten a response back yet but it did say it may take 2 weeks and only submitted a few days ago. Fingers crossed. Hoping someone runs across the post that can help as I actually found some old emails to my account from the staff team so hoping they help prove my identity

I hope you can get yours back. I couldn't get mine back because there was absolutely no way to show any corroborating evidence. IPs have probably changed 100 times since 1998 lol, and I probably used a dummy email address. But i know who i was! lol.

Any other routes anyone know of? I even have old emails from staff regarding various issues, short term bans, etc. Can identify all the locations the name has ever logged on from, give approx usage, discuss any history with any trusted staff member about old details of squads we were on together and other things only the real "Calm" would know. I have tried to contact any of the old staffers I am aware of that had Bang access to reset names but it seems they're all inactive these days.

I think you just have to wait for a reply from that email. Could be several weeks.

Been about 5 weeks since I submitted with nothing back as of yet. Have asked around about who is actually reviewing these things these days and pointed in a number of different directions but everyone seems to "not be the right person, you need to ask so and so..." or be long gone from SS as far as I can tell.

Ah. Well, I guess there's about 3 tries a day we could make on the password before the server makes a fuss.

Good news! On a hunch I checked my password manager for the oldest PW I had used and tried that out. It worked. Played some pub with the bots. Never heard back from using that online form for reset.

Very sad to say that I changed the password while playing TW last night on a whim and today it does not work, so I must have mistyped it. I was trying to get registered for MMR and who knows if that took, but if staff are willing to message me I am happy to answer any questions on who I am. )=

That should be a very easy reset, then. Same IP and MachineID, so a reset is virtually guaranteed. http://www.subspaceforum.com/lost-password/

It's not always the fastest process, but usually they're done every few weeks in batches.
