Reporting Packetloss / Latency

Please DO NOT WORRY if you see 99.x% packetloss coming from hopone routers! This is COMPLETELY NORMAL!

All this means is the router has decided not to return your ping. It does not mean your packets are not being transmitted through to the destination.

Running a trace in the Continuum client displays the ping times and packetloss percentages for every hop.

If you uncheck that you get a neat little display of min / avg / max ping times.

i HAVE THAT exact status, including Comcast High Speed, and East Coast. more exact: i live in the state of NJ. there, a 2fer lag complaint.

Tell comcast to upgrade their routers, because I see one of them that's suffering from a little packetloss.

In order to detect amounts as low as 1% packetloss, you'll need more cycles. 500-1000 sounds appropriate.

Unfortunately I am not currently at my internet connection on campus, but when I get back to campus I will try to get you some ?lag samples sent dock> but from home, I can tell you that I experience lag within the game in specific time slots, I think its probably me, though I have only been experiencing these problems as of the past 2 weeks. I lag monday to friday starting at 11AM and slowly dying out starting at 6PM, saturday and sunday I usually have anywhere from 10-70ms.

I'm from Germany (in the north).

When I use Telekom-DSL I get a ping about 160ms.
So i tryed some isdn-call-by-call's.
There the best ping I got so far is 140ms with the provider freenet-Business.

But perhaps someone found another provider with a better Ping?
If so: Which one ?

I'm dreaming of getting a Ping less then 100 .... :wub:

I so wanna see the ping I get from my Uni connection. It's a super fast line (I can get 1MB/s+ from some sites (That's MBytes, not MBits).

I can get a ping of 5 to some CS servers.
