Problems: Why can't I browse some people's file list?
Again, the nature of peer-to-peer. Not every person can browse every other person. Everything from routing problems to firewalls (usually firewalls) can stop two users from creating a connection over which to transfer data. Not being able to browse other users is extremely common (and unavoidable). This is much more true if you are yourself firewalled or behind a router.

I've taken my firewall off and nothing so I think its these ports, what are they? Cheers

If you're wondering why on a P2P, we'll use Ares for an example here, that when you right-click on a person's name and goto "search for more from the same user" (which will basically show all the files that user is also sharing), you get nothing, this is why. There is an option that you can turn on to block other people from searching and viewing your goods for share. This is to prevent 1 person from mass downloading 50 songs (videos, etc*) from you. That and supposedly it is to prevent the RIAA, or whatever authority, from being able to see how much or how little you are sharing.

Long story short: People can block everyone from seeing what they have to share with a user option.

If this is not what you meant, then I dunno what.

Read the FAQ? If it's a problem with port forwarding like you suggested read this: http://faq.slsknet.org/index.php?act...=24&artlang=en It's all explained quite good in the user comments section on what and how to do.

I'd already done all that but the port was set on 2234 in the first place?
