Doubt its your card, I'd try installing the latest drivers for your card. Also switch out your monitor if you have a spare one. You can mess with the settings in desktop properties make sure you have your fps set to around 70-75mhz.

Another thing that may be causing problems is programs running in the background or other programs you run while playing Continuum. Make sure any anti-virus shields are disabled also. I also have 'No Framerate Limit' clicked in Continuum. But for sure, make sure your settings are set correctly in display properties and you may even want to mess with them a little.

Alright, well. This is a new BOX, I had another computer and the monitor was fine, since I was getting 250-300 FPS on my old GeForce 2 system. Also, background programs? None exist. I even edited all my msconfig and services.msc files and removed all useless files. My computer starts from power on to ready-to-use in about 25 seconds (which isn't great, I can take another 5 off if i take out the boot selection screen).

Anyways it's not that stuff. I just don't know. Also all drivers are currently (I check for new releases weekly). And everything is up to date. I assure you.

I had some problems with fps, but installing motherboard drivers (via 4in1) fixed it. Somehow not having installed it made my fps jump.

Edit: Continuum is weird. I can play new games without experiencing fps problems, but I can't play SS and use DC++ or Azureus for torrents at the same time. I have netlimiter and I set my d/l and u/l speed pretty low so I don't lag, I just don't want to shut them down and loose slots/seeds. Also Firefox sometimes takes so much memory that continuum starts having fps problems.

Edit2: Although I usually need to shut DC++/Azureus down, because they cause screen lag :O

I installed my new motherboard drivers, then, on reboot it rejected them haha, for some reason - maybe i already had the new ones when i bought it - who knows.

Anyways everything is up to date. I recently found out my CD-RW is actually a 52x not 48x as advertised. The 48 and 52 are the same hardware, except Compaq only supplied drivers for a 48x device. 4832k doesn't exist lol. So, i updated to a different device driver and now my drive writes at 52x, amazing what hardware companies do. Gotta love forums.

Anyways back to my FPS question. Is there an ATI setting for 2D shit?
