I agree, I'm sick of badly tagged songs that don't sort well in my player.

I make my tags with tag and rename. Whenever I get a new album, I take the title, artist, year, track# and album tags from the internet database thingy. Then the program renames the files to the format
artist - album - track# - title and the folder to artist - year - album

Voilà! Fully arranged music ready to roll!

oh. well i'm thinking about getting an mp3 player some time soon. a lot of the songs i have are already nicely tagged so i think i might spend some time fixing the tags that are wrong/crap

how do i make a winamp generated playlist without copying down each song title-singer manually?

Uhm isn't there a lot easier way!? I always pick up the playlist editor then I right click the song on it and there should pop up menu. Then take view file's info. Change the name and press update and gg it's done :P

I download music from the Net and when I play them, theres weird names îI╚"þ{→ at the top... But I use WMP..... I go to Media Library, Inport all the music and click at the Title/Author and change it....

Yes sure, be my guest and do that to 10 000 songs. It shouldn't take more than say, 15 seconds per file = 41,6666 hours.

Wow Tag & Rename is cool program. Very handy.
