Trouble starting SS

I do mine once a week, and it is very very troublesome. Since this is my gaming computer I only use 10 gb, and this is a 3.2ghz processor, the speed i just greeattt. That's what most people should use anyways, I have a portable harddrive full of other stuff not related to gaming which i d/c after i'm done using it.
