Heheh, you are having a good reason to hate Mac's then.
Yes Windows XP Professional is the best Windows what I have ever used to. (I've tested all types Windows after Windows 98 and I can say Windows 2000 sucks, bacause it is not madden for playing computers, it's more like Windows 2000 Office Operation System
Windows 95 - Good when it was new Windows 98 - Great! (Second Edition) Windows 2000 - Madden for business use Windows XP Home Edition - Good, but worster than Professional Windows XP Professional - Great! My uptime record: 3 months on my web server.
I told Windows 2000 is pretty good for business use, but i recommend to test Windows XP Professional.
Why to my an emulator for mac? Secondly that is not legal...

Your own rankings invalidate your list. Windows 98SE at #3, ahead of XP Home Edition (which is, for all intensive purposes, the same as XP Pro) and 2000? How's the crack over in Europe these days?
I also truly wonder if most of the Linux fanboys on this message board have ever done anything with Linux outside of "I installed RedHat last night! It was easy! I like bunnies! WHEEE!" Have you ever dealt with drive arrays? Have you ever dealt with SMB or heterogenous networks? Have you ever dealt with it on a network scale (outside of your two+ computers at home)? Have you ever dealt with the fact that most hardware is a bitch to just get to a working state? Because the fact of the matter is, unless you're running a server (and even this part is debatable), Linux is no better than XP, OS X, or any other modern operating system.
Music and medicine, I'm living in a place where they overlap.
unix tech also. But i agree with conc, linux has became a trend. I see 13- year old kids running around shouting linux is the best os ever made. They claim linux is the most secure system there is, sure if you use it right. For example. just accidently leave some services open that can easily be exploited, which leaves a huge security risk. Everyone thinks linux is cool cause some hardcore programmers and serious computer experts use them.
Linux is quite easy to manage and install these days, thanks to the nice graphical interface, but just try to do things hard way from console, e.g using software raid, samba, internet sharing, compiling, bash scripting, proxy servers. All the things which are only a click away in windows. Oh and late, i dont what games you play, but every game i have tested in w2k has worked perfectly.
