LCD Monitor broken?

    LCD Monitor broken?

    It seems my LCD monitor has just broken. It seems to turn itself on, show the screen for a split sceond, then turn off for a couple seconds, and just does this repeatedly. It also makes a quiet "pop" noise everytime it turns back on.

    Is there anything I can do to try and fix it?

    If not I'll just get a 17" CRT replacement.

    Nice surprise to wake up on Xmas day, huh? :/

      Think it's sad that nobody replied .. so I will do so ..
      Allthough I don't have a lot of new information to tell you :P
      Tried unplugging it yet ? Tried it out on another pc ? If it works on another pc you know it's not the monitor .. maybe just some drivers thing.
      If it doesn't work on another pc you got a problem .. Don't have any warranty anymore ? Maybe you can get it fixed by some expert for a couple of bucks.

        or if you dont mind possible electrocution, pop that mofo open, find the fuse thats poping (im pretty sure it is a fuse or breaker), get a low heat soldering iron and bridge the circut.

        however, keep in mind that w\e caused it to pop in the 1st place, could short out again, and with your new bridged circut, it very well may heat up to the point of fire, so if you do that, never leave it unattended again

                ahahahah i know whats going on it happened to me, i think.
                Right Click and Desktop and choose properties, then in those tabs press settings, then advanced, then displays, make sure the FPD thing is red not the Monitor thing
