  • acoustic echo cancellation

I just purchased a webcam. So decided to test it out on my AIM. I audio/video tuned it, and there was an option that asked whether I wanted the AEC (acoustic echo cancellation) feature enabled. I unchecked to box because it said to only check it if I was using my headphones. Suddenly, my headphones started to annoyingly echo. So I went back to the audio/video tuning wizard and checked the AEC box. But the echoing continued...I have tried, and tried, and nothing seems to work. If anyone has experience with this, can you please help. Much appreciation in advance.

For those who don't like to read a lot: HOW DO YOU STOP ACOUSTIC ECHO IN YOUR SPEAKERS!

turn your speakers down or move your mic further away, tell the person on the other end of convo to do the same cause if one side echos everyone in the convo will hear it
Ill-timed force will be ineffective; act with precision; timing is everything. Knowing where and when to strike is more important than strength; misapplied ability is disability. Unreasonable or undue force will defeat itself
