If you have access to someone with a laptop or another computer that has a dvd reader or so, you could network them, and then put the disc on theirs, and then move it over the network to yours.

Yeah, you can rip it from her DVD drive (Use HANDBRAKE, search on google), and save it as either an MPEG-4 or something else. From there you can convert it to whatever you want.
