NTSC to PAL

Ok heres the deal
I made a DVD slideshow for my wifes Grandfather.
I live in North America most of the family that would like to see the dvd is in Germany.
North America is NTSC and Europe is PAL So I need to know how to convert to PAL from NTSC.
The program I used is Roxio if that makes any difference.

I am not really familliar with the slideshow (photoCD) format, but if you made it with Roxio there probably should be some kind of option to select PAL/NTSC before it compiles/burns the slideshow.

Might want to look around the program or maybe someone else can give you specific help.

I will try that. I just got the program and have been dealing with a death in the family.... Reason for making the dvd

what format is it in, like the extension name eg: .VOB

if its in a roxio proprietary format then it wont be easy at all...

but in any movie type format it should be ez

The video part is in .vob and .bup and .ifo thats in the video folder
in the other folder named roxioplasma the files are .dat and .dmsd

ok well with vob and ifo try dvd shrink.

it sounds like its in a dvd movie format so it should work, that is if it can live without the roxioplasma file.

dvd shrink is fairly easy to use. theres is an option to burn in either ntsc or pal or remove regional encoding altogether. however removing it completely has failed for me in certain dvd players, so id just burn in pal.

if it does require that roxio file i would just remake it in nero7. also dvd shrink had a "re-author" feature i havent played wiht it much but that may help.
