  • themes in windows xp

ok i had a custom appearance i had made and finally felt like a change

however it seems that themes are stored in program files/Plus! or some shit and i don't have that folder - probably deleted it thinking some shitty game or something installed it in program files - i'm pretty pissed off as i thought that sort of shit would be in a windows folder.

anyhow now i've only the windows default and classic theme to chose from ...

i want a dark theme that is good - and easy on the eyes - any suggestions on how to restore the plus! folder or download some good free themes ? when i click on the browse online themes it takes me to a microsoft error saying that its not there anymore :/

You can either go the lazy route, and use WindowsBlinds, but that requires the process to be running as far as I know.

Or you can patch your uxtheme.dll (google will help you do find programs to do this). And then you can just download msstyles files and put them in the correct folder.

C:\Windows\Resources\Themes is the folder where they are.
