Laptop Screen/Video Problem

Whenever I try to go into Continuum on my laptop my screen looks like this:

It started to happen every 5 minutes after rebooting. At that point I removed the video driver and installed the latest one from lenovo. After that it appeared to go away while working in Windows but seems to be creeping back on some windows controls and still happens in any game (not just Continuum).

DirectX diagnostics found nothing. It has to be a video problem I am guessing because if it was the screen it wouldn't show up in screen capture.

Laptop is an IBM R51, 1830. I haven't upgraded the memory or anything. It's nearly 3 years old.

i'm not sure

i would check that it's not temperature related if you have a funtion to monitor it's temperature. Could be the fan is clogged up or has stopped spinning and it's causeing overheating when playing games and in high use whilst in low use windows it's ok. Worth checking out since drivers didn't fix it but it could be a case of something has died on it or a hardware person would tell from the pic right away

This was my guess as well. If you're feeling adventurous, maybe open the case and check the video for dust (doubtful) or no thermal paste.
