Is a USB 2.0 wireless card as fast as a PCI card? My computer is 1.1 USB and I have a USB wireless card and I'm wondering if it's worth it to buy a USB 2.0 converter.

USB 2 is something like 480 mb/s hi speed
USB 1.1 is something like up to 12mb/s full speed
Wireless is up to 54mb/s
PCI 133mb/s

you internet connections = ?? depends on what you get

so where as pci doesn't appeared to be as fast as a USB 2 (that surprised me)

it might speed up your conection if you've a good internet conection and would definately speed up any network or flash drive data transfer.

oh the PCI one was bytes and the usb was in bits

i hate when they do that so really the USB 2 is divided by 8 to 60 MBytes which is alot smaller than PCI

i had thought PCI was faster but such is my trust in wiki that the glance at the bigger numbers was enough
