control issues

First off, let me begin that I read the following threads:

All settings were correct.
Next, in profile and key prefs, when I go to change a button/setting, I get the following message:
Type the Key Sequence

It can contain up to 3 keys.
Every key but the last one must be Alt, Crtl, or Shift. The last key may be Any key. Press ESC to cancel. Right click on a button to remove it's key mapping.


Been dealing with rolling ship ingame, stuck on speed boost and takes a few seconds to get out of that tumbling mess.

I have the keys set to what I want, but the only thing I can figure out is that I may have pressed something ingame to have put things into an off-setting. Therefore, now when I go into key definitions, I have to deal with Key7 or Control Key7, blah blah blah.


I have Win7, the keyboard and system is completely new and I've even tried using older keyboards. I am now frustrated and out of ideas on how to fix this.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You set the keys to what you want and then when you go into the game, it doesn't work correctly?

i'm almost sure i've some memory of being drunk and hitting sticky keys and thrusting everytime i hit up arrow and not knowing wtf was going on or why i couldn't shoot in wb
