It depends on how much your willing to spend, I'd say the geforce 4 ti 4800 is the best deal around.

DoTheFandago, I'd go with a 5900 FX ultra 256 mb ddr. But do you want to spend all your money on a video card?, and do you actually play games that require a card much like this?, or will you play games that need a card like this? $350 American - $400 American is what you can get a FX 5900 for. Best 2 cards for your moeny right now is the FX 5900 256s mb ddr and the Radeon 9800 pro 128 mb.

Well seeing as I have probably the worst one out there right i feel like if i buy the BEST one.. it will last me awhile as more and more games come out.

Good idea, always buy the best so it will last the longest. I would go with the FX 5900 but the Radeon 9800 pro will suffice. Are you sure your motherboard can suppourt 8x?

Is there a site online I can buy it for that price. 250$ is kind of cheap :/

A few days ago, I just bought this graphics card from Future Shop in Canada...

                      ATI RADEON 7000 AGP...64meg.. for $99 CDN

Before I just had a 4meg Matrox Mystique PCI gfx card, and I got 30fps in the game...

then I got this card and now get.. 60fps

So double fps(frame per second), everything runs smoother now.

That card is really ancient, heh. Of course it will run smoother than your old one, but I woudn't recommend that to anyone unless thats the highest your mobo can handle. In general, don't buy hardware from future shop unless you like paying more, sometimes double of what you can find in smaller shops. I've probably seen that card sell $30 somewhere. You probably will have to buy another card later, if you decide to play something that is more graphic intense, like Unreal Tournament 2003 for example so next time I suggest getting something that may be a bit expense, but you end up winning in the end as it will last you a few years.

Personally, I would recommend Radeon 9800 or the 9700 Pro. Both will probably be more powerful that what you may need, but at least you wont have to worry about video cards for a few years. The Radeon 9500 is also a great choice as it's a nice overclockable card in the $300 range. Although they are becoming harder and harder to find.

I have a radion 8500 128MB, and i'd say it works quite well. It ran GTA: Vice City without a skip.. you can get it for less than $300, and it was compatible with my computer, which says alot

I'm posting on Cops because Mandagorian's pw doesn't work .. so either I'm banned from the forums or I just forget my pw. The card is ancient and if I were you I would pick up some kind of geforce 4 for 100$ I know a shop that will sell me a fx 5200 for $120. Not to flame you for buying a 7000 radeon but there are better cards for the same amount of money. I would take it back and go buy a fx 5200.
