packet loss..HELP

hi, since getting a new broadband connection i have had very high ploss... about 10% so cant play in dd's etc my ping is about 80 ms

i have pinged the server in dos and it shows 0% ploss, whats going on, i dint have this problem when i had adsl

if any1 has any ideas it wud b gr8, cheers

What is the exact type of internet connection that you are using? Have you changed anything on your computer in that time? New firewall, virus scan?

its a connection...through a hub...through an ethernet bridge....across a radio transmitter about 1/2 a mile to another reciever then on2 the internet.

Radio transmiter? 1/2 a mile? Ouch... Your ping is going to be too much to play any real time games - I think. It's the big problem with wireless internet. Did you set this up or an isp?

I have the same problem. Mine is more related to I hooked another computer up to my network. Boggles my mind why its still lagged with only one computer running. Even when I have every thing else turned off cept ss. :/
