Creating a new nick, fails.

When I try to make a new nick I get the message: connection lost to server. This is not just for the trenchwars zone, also for other zones.

Anyone knows why ?

Most probablyt because the name has an illegal character in it, eg like starting with a . etc

That could be the reason.

you cant start ur name with any of these /.,[]\';=-`~ and so on, only number and actual letters (not like my name :P) can start ur name off but once the beginnin letter/# of ur name is in then u can add in all that punctuation and stuff

It doesn't have to be the characters, for instance try making the nick 'master of agitation' and you'll get the following message:
"Your name contains text that is obscene or restricted in this zone. Please choose new name."

It's the obscene filter that reacts on 'of agitation' ...

(It's not the message you get but I just wanted people to know about this case )

Also it can't contain any characters such as: œ Ö, ☼, ƒ, ₧, Ω¥, or any of those kinds of things
