OK that worked. Is there a web site I can go to that has a ton of stuff to load to see or compair how long it takes that any one knows about.... also would be good if you were on a cable connection as well.

Ok, if IE loads quickly using a Blank Home page, then you can rule out spyware and anything that might be broken in IE.

Next, i would try using a 'fast' site as my Home page. Purpose here is to see if you have a 'network' issue (cable, hub, router, modem, etc.) or if it is just a slow loading original Home page.
I would set my Home page to www.google.com, it has no ads and spam and usually loads in less than 5 secs on cable or DSL type connection.
If this works, then the issue you saw with slow loading was an issue with the site you had it set to as the Home page. Only solution is for them to fix the slow load times of their site or for you to use a quicker loading site as your Home page.

Try downloading Hijackthis (i don't know an exact link but search on google for it) and then scan. When it's scanned, click save log file then copy and paste that to here and I will have a look (I'm not much of an expert but this happened to me once so I know what to look out for)
