Hey Biet. Thanks for all of the data/info. 2 questions I had for you:

    1. Is there something I’m missing in the player data file? How do I know which team people are on? I didn’t see a column for this.
    2. Is there a database for player ID #s or do I need to create this myself?

Both the teams and userids were missing, sorry for that. This should be all that you need but I added a player - userid lookup table just in case.

I guess I might as well leak an old project that I'll probably never finish.

        Match stats per player: https://twd.trenchwars.org/biet/old/...&v=prev&loop=0
        Match events & graph: https://twd.trenchwars.org/biet/old/?matchID=90127199&v=prev&loop=1

You can change the matchid in the url to the match you want to see, or use the navigation at the top of the page to scroll through matches. It includes all matches recorded by matchbot, so twd, twdt, twl, mmr, etc.

There's also a newer version, which lacks visuals, but has a better data structure. Look for it in your browser's console.

The id in the twdt url is the round id, not the match id (which always starts with a 9). There isn't an easy way to get a match id for twdt games unfortunately. Your best bet would be to find a twd/mmr game on twd.trenchwars.org with a starting time close to the twdt match, get the match id from the url, plug that into the new site and use the arrows at the top to scroll through the matches.

Just adding a reply here to show interest in any more data analysis presented on this, I'm curious to see how it develops cubone

I have all the data from Biet. We'll see about the events data (which includes coords for every single kill for all players). Could potentially look at kills across all jav rounds and plot data to show the things like where people are most frequently killed, determine average pixels for kills for each player, etc. but will take some time to piece together. Could also integrate screen resolution to see what kills are truly strays and which ones might be aimed. The events data also distinguishes between bomb kills and bullet kills so there's a lot you can do with it.

Today's Award is the MMR Existentialism Award because why do you even exist? This goes out to 'Stinging Metal' (widely rumored but unconfirmed to be thesauce) for managing to hit tab+control a total of 6 times in 12 1/2 minutes. I filtered out a few suspicious games where people had 0 total shots fired so I suspect they could be AFK, but they also managed to stay alive 5+ minutes.

Good stuff. Looking forward what we can learn from the data.

I don't think you can get the difference between bullet and bomb kills as we don't watch damage iirc. You could get a percentage chance of it being one or the other by looking at fired weapons but nothing more unfortunately.

determine average pixels for kills for each player
Do keep in mind that the positions are just a snapshot made at the moment of death. A bomb shot 10 seconds earlier could still be an R1 kill as long as the killer is within R1 kill range when the other player dies.

Some examples to visualize event data: https://forums.trenchwars.com/twd/13...-visualization

Oh I guess I misunderstood the events part. So it just shows that a person died. For some reason I thought it also showed if they died by bomb or bullet but I must’ve misread that.

Also I guess that makes sense. I suppose we have to make assumptions then but yeah I guess a stray bomb that happens to hit someone close to you would be indistinguishable from a bomb you just fired at the same range. And those visualizations are good. Kind of what I was envisioning as far as seeing the parts of the map where people die the most at. Might also be interesting to look at skill levels and see if good players die in different positions from bad players.

Would be nice to see something on twd.trenchwars.org to reflect current MMR activity/ratings etc., unless that's somewhere and I'm blind.

It's pretty much killed off traditional twd at this point so the website's become a bit obsolete.

Okay, Aggi has been asking for this and in light of Jessup running for out the clock long enough just now to kill MMR and waste everyone's time, I present version 1 of the time wasted metric. Potentially I could take the event data and refine it some, but it works for version 1. What I did was look at how much time was spent as the last player in, after the rest of their teammates have died out. We all know this is what Jessup does and has been banned for previously (hopefully again after doing it multiple times today). In 160 less games, Jessup has spent over 75 minutes more than the 2nd place person as the last player in. Absolutely incredible and the reason jessup is awarded the MMR Time Waster Certificate for officially spending nearly 3 hours running around solo after their team has died out. Great job!!!

                                thats fukin nuts

People thought I was joking when I said I could host an entire extra game every 3 games when jessup plays.. Now we get to see the actual stats.
                                she's legit detrimental for zone

I had to stop hosting tonight with people waiting in spec - she just destroys everyone's experience of MMR games while she refuses to fight and just runs
ruining the chance of people getting to play in more games.

Don't get why she was unbanned, do that shit in elim man where people don't care.

Good work though cubone, keep it up!

                                PS: Jessup is:
